Senegal's African Renaissance Monument
There's a language in art. Sometimes it's codified. But more often than not the pure beauty of a piece communicates simply because it's there. That's how I feel about Senegal's colossal African Renaissance Monument--it's breathtaking. Imagine waking up to that on your skyline every day.
Lauded by some; minimized by others, it gets a thumbs up in these quarters.
